Boom Chicago presents the premiere of their new political comedy show ‘Lock Him Up’, live on YouTube on October 11 at 20:00 with a live, in-person (socially distanced) audience. Political comedy veterans Pep Rosenfeld and Greg Shapiro and director Andrew Moskos take you inside the 2020 presidential race with stand-up and improv comedy, sharp satire and big laughs from an Amsterdam-American perspective.

‘We Are Live’ will produce the entire three-camera stream from Boom Chicago’s Theater, including live video and interaction with viewers at home. ‘We Are Live’ is an independent live video production agency, specializing in live content creation.

With the U.S. President in the hospital with Covid, a disease he downplayed for months, the world is holding its breath for the American elections. Facts are hard to agree on, and the media itself is under attack. With the truth fighting against manipulation, mudslinging, memes and fake news, this is the most unusual political year ever. The show is about an hour, ending with a political discussion with Pep and Greg backstage.

The sequel to an audience favorite! ‘Lock Him Up’ is the welcome follow-up to Boom Chicago’s longest running show, ‘Trump Up the Volume’. Pep Rosenfeld, Greg Shapiro and Andrew Moskos have created shows with a focus on current affairs, politics and satire since they were in high school together.

Native and nonnative speakers are all invited! So, let us meet up, connect and have some fun together at JoySingNL!

Songs, by Dutch artists, will be covered for one full hour, under the guidance of singer Francisca Burgos and composer musician Harto Soemodihardjo. The texts are simple and they will take the time to explain each song. You can sing along while reading the text on the screen. After an hour the bar will be open for a drink and you can exchange your experiences. Entrance is free!
